Barium carbonate (BaCO3) is a white, inorganic compound known for its various applications in industries like ceramics, glass, and chemicals. It's a white powder, relatively insoluble in water, but dissolves in dilute acids and solutions of ammonium chloride. Barium carbonate is also found naturally as the mineral witherite.
